What?!? Christmas is coming?

This was taken at Williams Christmas concert. Annie is growing so much, and she is becoming such a Ham. She laughs at everything, smiles at everyone, and thinks she is so funny. We hope you all enjoy your holidays. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Paul and Annie were just chillin before the party got started. Grandpa and Paul have always been the best of buds. This picture is so great. Poor Grandpa had to sit all night while everyone took turns taking pictures of him.

We had the Barrett Christmas party the Saturday before Christmas. It was so fun, that Santa decided to drop by for a visit. William was prepared to talk about his list he just sent off, and Emery was so excited that Santa didn't even have a chance to sit down before Emery yelled"you better remember to bring my Diego play set!" And Annie just wanted to eat the bells on his suit. Any thing that can go in her mouth will. Paul and I even had a chance to tell Santa how good we have been this year. Of course he didn't buy it. The party was great, the food was great. And as always Grandma had the wonderfully disgusting smell of sauerkraut. The men love it though, but its the women that have to suffer the after effects of it. Grandpa and Grandma were in great spirits, and its always nice to see family.

New Chapter in life

Our newest member of our family has recently arrived from Iraq. He is from Utah, but served in the Army. My sister and her now ex-husband John got divorced this past year, and Jennie met Dallas. He is very nice, and they got married December 26th. Welcome to the family!

Harkness Christmas Party

On the sunday before Christmas it was the Harkness Christmas party. Everyone comes to this party. We played the right and left game, had a wonderful dinner, and had a pinata. Grandpa and his girl just hung out. About 7 years ago we lost our Nana and Grandpa, they started some wonderful traditions. All which we have tried to keep going. Somedays I find myself thinking of them, and how much I miss them. One tradition my Grandpa did was sing a song called the teddy bear song, well the best person to take his spot is my Dad. so he now sings the song. It was great to see everyone, especially those who have moved away.

On Christmas Eve we were so blessed to have Oma and Opa with us. They came for dinner and gifts. Opa has been going through a very rough patch lately. About 7 months ago he was diagnosed with cancer, and tumors. He went through chemo and treatments, and a couple of weeks ago he found out he has tumors on his brain. Every minute is precious, and we love being with them. We were so grateful they came.

On Christmas Eve we exchanged $5 stockings. we go to the dollar store and choose the goofiest gifts that fit the person whos name we drew. We all got some pretty funny gifts. Then Banana gave all the grandkids new pajamas and she made not bought MADE slippers for them all.
They decorated cookies for santa, we had mexican for dinner, and it was a party. Little did we all know one of the biggest snow storms was brewing outside.

Merry Christmas!!! Good morning, we all woke early to a wonderful morning. The kids were bouncing, and very excited. I thing the most excited were Banana and Papa!! We can't forget Emery!! Happy Birthday!! 4 years old today. The greatest Christmas present I ever got!! I love you so much, and I hate to see you grow up. But I love it at the same time. I hope you had a good day.

And the presents keep coming.. and coming!!

Will and Emery got lightsabers from banana and papa. Thank you so much, it looks like they will be spending ALOT more time at YOUR house! All joking aside, if there were a contest for kids spoiled by grandparents, I think mine would win. We had so much fun spending Christmas at Banana and Papas. Thank you so much. And the boys are grateful Santa found us.

Emery got the mini crocodile game, and it scared him so bad the first time, I have never seen him pull a face like that. My niece Alexis is absolutely obsessed with dogs. My sisters family moved over the summer, so they had to get rid of their dogs, and no dogs are allowed where they currently live so she got something more annoying than a real dog. A toy that acts like a real dog!! Be Quiet Lucky!! By the end of the day I could barely keep my eyes open. All I want for Christmas is my comfy warm bed!

The day came to a close at my parents house. We ate a delicious turkey dinner and opened gifts. Nana spoils the kids like crazy, and of course they love it. They got these pillows that are the softest material in the world. I keep trying to steal them but the boys catch me. Annie recieved so many baby gifts that she doesn't know what to play with first. And for some reason presents still keep coming for her even though Christmas is over! Thank you mom and dad. We ALL had a wonderful Christmas! And couldn't have done it with out you.

Ok, so I just realized I was doing my whole blog backwards! Ha for those of you who know me you would not be surprised. My name should just be scatterbrained!!! I will start doing this the correct way, and the end of our Christmas and the start of our Christmas will be right next to each other. I am so sorry. I hope you are not as confused as I am.

Our season started off with a song and a dance! Williams school christmas concert was so fun, they sang a few songs, one of which is our family famous "Who has a beard thats long and white, must be santa". Talk about a long song, but so cute. Well the laughs kept coming because the easter bunny got jealous and decided to change the words to a famous Christmas song, to "we wish you a happy easter" A little confusing, but fun. Will is loving 1st grade!

Ho Ho Ho!!! Merry Christmas, and Happy new Year!

Can you believe its the holidays?! We have so much to tell you and so much to catch up on. so bare with us as we try to get everything in from our holidays.
This was taken at Bananas house. William, Emery, and Annie, all got new pajamas and slippers from banana.

These are some adorable pictures of our adorable Annie! Since Christmas is coming so quickley I decided that I better get these on before its over. Nana just can't stay out of the Carters store. Which I am grateful for. Isn't she sooooo cute?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMERY!!! On Sunday we celebrated Emery's Birthday, and it was a blast. For those of you who know Emers his Birthday is not actually until Christmas. We celebrate it early because it separates the two, so that he feels like he has a day just for him. He got some really fun stuff that he hasn't put down since we got home. His cake was Indiana Jones, and he got a Mutt William sword, a dart board, some coloring books (which is wonderful, cause he loves to color) a really big gorilla playset, (thanks alot Banana!) The noise just doesn't stop!!!! He got money, which officially makes him richer than me. Ten bucks is more than I will ever have in my life time. Ha, Ha. He loves everything he got so thank you a million to everybody. Especially my mom who slaved over a stove for me, which she doesn't like to do often. And to Pauls parents who so willingly provided the place at the last minute. I couldn't have done it without you. Emery we love you, and wish you the best Birthday ever.
