This last weekend my family and I went to the mountains to take photos. we only had one big problem, the attachment that holds the camera to the tripod, was at home laying on the garage floor. We didn't notice that it had fallen until we got there. Trying to use flat rocks and logs to get the shots we wanted really didn't help. Then to top it all off Annie didn't want to take pictures that day. The princess decided to not look at the camera once and was demanding we carry her every where. So Grandparents will have to wait a litle longer for their pictures because we have to do them again.

Easter Weekend!!
Our Easter weekend started out with going to Banana and Papas house. We played games and ran all over the house to find eggs. The boys had a sleep over and Paulie and I got to go see Fast and the Furious, which was good, we really enjoyed the others. We both like to drive fast so not a good movie to see then get in the car to drive home. I hate to drive, like futher than 10 blocks of my house, but give me an empty road and no other cars around me and I will floor it! Back to the weekend, after our movie we got some ice cream and then picked up Annie. It was very quiet. On Saturday we played games like I said and found eggs. Pin the tail on the rabbit, and egg relay race. Our team won of course! kidding we did win but by only a fraction. Oma and Opa were there and played with the kids as well. The food was great and the fun kept coming.
Our children recieved a huge basket full of toys games and candy. It gets worse every year. You set Sandi and Steve loose on the Easter aisle and your bound to pay for it. Spoiling the grandchildren just happens to be their specialty. I can't complain I only have to live every day with the noise they send home!!! All kidding aside we are very blessed and they made it a wonderful Easter. Even if I have to listen to spacemen and singing Annie til the "batries" give out. Or I lose my hearing, which ever comes first. Thank you for the wonderful day! It was amazing! The kids had a blast and so did we!
The Easter bunny did come!
On Easter morning my boys woke up to thinking the bunny had come and left them things like eggs and all that implys, to find. When I told them they would have to wait because they slept in and church was waiting, they were very upset with me. I have recently aquired a new calling that requires me to be to church 15 to 20 minutes early. So when they got ready William thought he would be sneaky and make his way discretely to the front room to find his goods, he about went into panic mode. "Mom! The Easter bunny didn't come! He forgot us!" I told him that it did not do any good to look that I didn't know where the rabbit would have hid everything, and we didn't have time to look. He thought he would just check his room, but he informed me that he didn't find anything there either! He was worried about it all through church. Thinking I did the right thing by not letting them do Easter stuff before church, to help us concentrate on the true meaning of the holiday, and focus our thoughts on the Saviour, instead of being hyped up on sugar. Boy, did I pay for that one. But low and behold we got home and as we pulled up the drive our children discovered bright oval shaped colors that dotted the yard. The sneaky little furball hid everything outside this year instead of inside. Can you blame him? It was a beautiful day! William got a DS game, Emery got a Wii game and Annie got tub toys and a soft blanket. Not to mention that candy and the sugar rush that soon followed. I will never eat that much candy again! He, He! We had a great Easter! Annie of course looked adorable in her beautiful blue dress! That girl is without a doubt a princess!
We Ended our Easter at my moms house. This was one crazy Easter egg hunt. By the time the third one is done and over with, it makes me grateful that there are 12 more months til next Easter. I am not big on Easter, I don't know why, but its not my favorite holiday. That probably explains my procrastination, and the fact that my kids don't really get hyped up about the Easter bunny. I hear other parents tell there kids to be good or the fluffy friend won't visit this year, weeks in advance. Which then reminds me 10 days before that I need to start telling my kids about the event. Sad thing is I almost forgot this year, until my children heard an aunt talking about the Easter bunny, they actually had to ask me who that was exactly! Ha, Ha, I felt so embarrassed. Easter, became a very sacred holiday for me when I was about 17. I knew some people who were not of the LDS faith and I had to do some spiritual searching on questions they had. I also had questions, but the one that changed my whole view on the Easter perspective was "why do they celebrate our saviors death?" When Easter is a celebration of his life and Resurrection. His atonement became a huge part of my testimony. I am grateful I can share that with my children. That to this day obviously shows for my lack of enthusiasm for the Easter egg hunt, and my lack of information about the sweet creature who visits once a year. So I am terribly sorry to my children for not explaining the yearly traditions that you should enjoy.
I promise I wll not drop the ball next year! But with their little memories I can see that its unavoidable at this point.

Indiana Jones to the rescue!
If you fall and break your back don't complain to me!
Paul decided to reminice back to his childhood and prove to us all that he could climb a tree. Only problem is he is almost 30 and a little just a little bigger. Ha! Well he certainly climbed up, just took a little longer getting back down, then the next day he couldn't figure out why his back and shoulders hurt. Oh, I don't know, could it have anything thing to do with proving your tarzan or trying to move a 3,000 pound boulder? Lexi also tried her climbing skills, and tried and tried, and tried. I really don't remember if she got up there or not. Jennie just resorted to playing with Annie. And they were both content with that option.
boys will be boys!
As a mother of two boys I have discovered that dirt and mud are an unavoidable part of life. My dad has a big dirt pile in his backyard and my son Emery gravitates toward any type of dirt, mud or puddle of water in his nicest shoes or clothes. This day I was prepared, I didn't dress him in anything that would matter if it got dirty... or so I thought. If you look at his cute little feet, he decided he wanted to wear his new shoes and I didn't notice this course of action until it was too late!!! Oh well, like I said unavoidable. Will also got his fun in, he climbed the rope swing, the rocks, and showed us how ripped he his, by flexing his mucsles.

Are You Nuts?!? The answer is YES!!!
This last Saturday we headed to my parents house for a visit, and ended up staying for the hernia! My dad has these 5,000 pound rocks in his backyard that he wanted to move else where and put up a retaining wall instead! Well, apparently stupididty isn't just hereditary like I thought, my dad, my husband Paul, and my brother-in-law Dallas, decided they were strong enough to move this sucker on their own. Ha, Ha, us girls just laughed through the whole ordeal, and just figured if they got hurt it was their own fault. Can I say, thats a bum view? I had to put this picture in it was the only highlight I had watching besides worrying who was going to get severly injured or killed! When they finally succeeded in placing the monster boulder we took a victory picture, then told them it needed to be moved back 2 feet! They didn't agree of course, and so we have goofy pictures to match the event that took place. I am hoping next time they will hire body builders or a tractor, because there is only so many times you can tell them they are CRAZY!
